Lussier Insurance

Turning a century-old insurance brokerage into one unified brand and digital growth platform

The Challenge

Lussier Dale Parizeau was a century-old Quebec insurance brokerage that had grown through decades of mergers and acquisitions.

The business had expanded across personal insurance, business insurance and group benefits, but that growth had created fragmentation. Different services, legacy identities and teams made the full breadth of Lussier difficult to understand as one company.

The challenge was bigger than redesigning a website. Lussier needed to bring its businesses under one brand, make a complex range of services easier for customers to navigate and create a digital platform capable of supporting growth across both B2C and B2B audiences.

Key Findings

The value of an insurance broker was not simply access to more products. Customers valued having an expert who could understand their needs, navigate the complexity and narrow the options on their behalf.

That expectation was consistent across the business. Personal customers, business customers and group clients had different needs, but all were looking for expertise that could make insurance easier to understand and act on.

The existing digital experience did not reflect that value. Years of expansion had produced a complex structure

The brand expression created another disconnect. The existing blue identity followed familiar insurance and financial services conventions, while the actual relationship customers had with Lussier brokers was more personal, human and hands-on.

Finally, the transformation had an internal dimension. After years of acquisitions, Lussier needed a shared identity that could bring different teams and legacy businesses together as one organization.

The Solution

I helped define the new positioning and new experience vision that connected those findings into one simple idea.

We do it for you.

The idea reframed the role of Lussier around what customers valued most. Lussier would use its expertise to absorb complexity, simplify choices and make insurance easier for people and businesses to navigate.

That experience vision became the foundation for the brand and digital transformation.

A more human brand

The new identity moved Lussier away from the traditional blue language of the category and toward a warmer, more distinctive expression.

The goal was to reflect the personal role of the broker while retaining the credibility and authority expected from a century-old insurance business. The name was also shortend.

A simpler way to navigate the business

The digital experience was reorganized around the three major areas customers actually needed to understand.

Personal insurance, business insurance and group benefits.

The information architecture was simplified to create clearer entry points, reduce unnecessary complexity and help customers reach the right expertise faster.

The same principle shaped individual journeys throughout the site. Personal customers could more easily navigate a broad range of insurance needs, while business customers could explore coverage through industries, risks and specialized services without having to understand Lussier’s internal structure.

A digital platform built for growth

The website was designed to do more than organize the business.

Content and SEO were structured around the questions, needs and insurance topics customers were already searching for. This created an always-on system for attracting demand and connecting prospective customers with Lussier expertise.

The same positioning and experience system could then extend beyond the website across campaigns, CRM, social, sales materials and other customer touchpoints.

Outcomes

  • Increased lead generation across both B2C and B2B digital experiences.
  • Brought personal insurance, business insurance and group benefits together under one clearer Lussier brand.
  • Simplified a complex portfolio of services into more intuitive customer journeys.
  • Created a scalable content and SEO system that could support ongoing demand generation.
  • Supported an internal cultural transformation by giving teams from different legacy businesses a shared brand and experience vision.
